Cranford Township Committee Meeting, Tuesday, May 8th @ 7:30 pm. Final Reading & Public Hearing on Birchwood PILOT agreement – Ordinance 2018-08: “Approving application for a long term tax exemption and authorizing the execution of a financial agreement with Birchwood Developers Associates, LLC.”  Last chance to question or comment on PILOT agreement.

Cranford Township Committee Meeting – Tues. April 10 @ 7:30 pm

The Township Committee Meeting, Tuesday, April 10 @ 7:30 pm will be introducing an ordinance to approve a 30 – 35 year tax exemption and PILOT agreement (Payment In Lieu Of Taxes) with Birchwood Developers. This is your opportunity to ask questions and voice any concerns before its approval at a future Town Council meeting.
The agenda also includes approval of the 2018 Municipal & DMC Budgets.

Downtown Strategic Plan Meeting – Feb 22 @ 7:00 pm

The meeting will be held Thursday, Feb. 22 at 7:00 pm in the Cranford Community Center, 220 Walnut Ave.

“The Downtown Management Corporation (DMC) Board invites the public to participate in a Strategic Planning process that will cover a variety of topics including pedestrian safety, public space improvements, development, and re-investment in the downtown. The meeting, which will be interactive rather than a presentation, is designed to engage the public in discussion about the many issues and opportunities for the downtown business district.

Throughout 2017, the DMC committee and staff met with various groups to gather input. These included Township Commissioners, Planning and Zoning Boards, Cranford Historic Preservation Committee, downtown business and property owners and Township department heads. The Downtown Strategic Plan is currently in draft form but a final report with recommendations will be sent to the Township Committee.”
